March 30 - April 2

I would like to say THANK YOU to the fourth grade students and parents for the baby shower and generous gifts. This group has been an absolute blessing and you went above and beyond to make me feel special!!! We can't wait to share pictures of our little guy!!!

***Mari Grace's parents will be providing pizza and cupcakes for her BIRTHDAY Wednesday(4/1).  All students will is a drink with no caffeine.

***We will be going to Caroline Senn's grandparent's farm Thursday for an Easter party.  We will be leaving the school around 10:00 and returning before dismissal.  Sheree will provide hot dogs and ribs for lunch.  We need drivers and a few extra sided items.  Sheree also needs a few parents to help her hide eggs at the farm around 9:00.  Students will need to bring at least 12 eggs (any kind) Wednesday.  We need 2 fruit trays,  1 cooler of bottled water, sweets, plain chips with dips, a bag of cut up apples with caramel dip, and a bag of washed grapes.  Please email us if you can drive, provide food, or hide eggs.

*** Monday(3/30) students will bring home two folders of graded papers.  One for Mrs. Barron and the other for Mrs. Buchanan.  Please sign the first page of these stapled papers and return in the folder Tuesday morning(3/31).   Your child will only bring home one folder this week due to SAT-10 testing.

***March 19th - Report Cards will be on Achieve to view.

***Friday, April 3rd - Good Friday Holiday

***Monday, April 6th - Easter Holiday (Unless we have to use a weather day before then).


***Friday, April 10th - 11:50 dismissal due to the Prom.

AR started over Monday(3/16).  I have given students their new goals. Please encourage your child to read so that we don't get bogged down at the end. It will cut off on May 8.

***The SGA is holding a fundraiser for the Troy Animal Rescue Project.  They are collecting items and/or money to help care for unwanted and abused animals.  They need most anything, towels, blankets, linens (can be old), toys, puppy pads, litter boxes, litter, water hoses, puppy or kitty food, dog or cat food, dog shampoo, nail clippers, etc.  Bring any items or money to me by April 10.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

***Our recycling contest will be starting before we know it! 4th grade is responsible for collecting cans. Please start saving anything you have now to bring in the week of April 13-17. They will be picked up by 8:30 on April 17. The grade with the most will get a PaRtY!!!

***We are pleased to announce that we will have a school-wide "Student of the Month" recognition award for each class. This student must display positive behavior, show their best work, good citizenship, and be friendly and courteous, enthusiastic, and responsible. The teacher will submit her choice each month and an award certificate will be given. The child's name will also go in the "hat" for a chance to win lunch off campus with Mrs. Baggett and Mrs. Garrett. The student chosen in our class this month was Brooklyn Fountain. Congrats Brooklyn!!! 

***The children may buy chicken biscuits from Chick-fil-A on Wednesdays and Fridays for snack.  Cost is $2.75. 


***ALL 7:00-8:30 INCOMING TRAFFIC WILL ENTER KERVIN DRIVE FROM HIGHWAY 231.  ALL OUTGOING TRAFFIC WILL EXIT THROUGH THE STREET BEHIND THE HOSPITAL. 
**The discount cards are $15 each. This is our largest PTO fundraiser. The money raised will be put toward technology in the classrooms. Each family is encouraged to sell 10 each. We will continue to sell throughout the fall, but orders can be turned in any time.

**Birthday Party Guidelines  

** Friday is the best day for a birthday celebration.
** Please bring enough for 35 students. The fourth grade eats together as a reward on Friday while we watch a movie. 
** Please send a note at least two days in advance so that we can notify parents and remind students to bring their own non-caffeinated drink.
